Redundancy Entitlements – Change Of Role

Got another question here from Daniel Mason. Thanks very much Daniel for asking this question. If somebody has moved away from one job role to another job role within the company, where are the legalities around redundancy based on the new role or extend the job requirements? Well, it depends on how that new job role has come about. So if that new job role has come about as something that’s occurred by agreement, or by, let’s say, permanent agreement, well, then the redundancy would apply based on the new terms and conditions of employment. So if it’s not the case, that it’s a permanent change, and if it’s either an agreed temporary change or it’s a job keeper enabled direction for the employer to say you will work reduced hours, then the redundancy payments will be based on the the arrangements that were in place prior to COVID. Or the job shouldent say COVID, but prior to the change taking place. Okay. So that is something that comes into play. on that particular front.
We have put together this what we call limited time restructure package for anyone who’s looking at undertaking a restructure, and that is and that would offer the following services as part of the restructure package that we will provide you with the restructuring and redundancy plan. We provide you with advice on the payments and the related obligations.
