On the one hand, traditional recruitment agents.

00:00:03:03 – 00:00:05:14
On the other hand, you’ve got

00:00:05:14 – 00:00:08:13
the internal recruitment or doing it yourself.

00:00:09:01 – 00:00:13:00
I often hear the team talk to recruitment clients

00:00:13:00 – 00:00:16:03
about being stuck in the cycle of failure.

00:00:16:11 – 00:00:18:19
What do they mean by that?

00:00:18:19 – 00:00:21:01
So what we often see happen that the client tries

00:00:21:01 – 00:00:24:11
to internally recruit.

00:00:24:11 – 00:00:26:29
It fails because for all the reasons I’ve just discussed, they are time poor,

00:00:26:29 – 00:00:31:10
the dont get back to people quick enough the ad isn’t thought about properly.

00:00:32:08 – 00:00:33:23
There’s some errors that they’re making

00:00:33:23 – 00:00:35:29
that they probably didn’t realize there’re making.

00:00:37:20 – 00:00:39:24
And what we find then happens.

00:00:39:24 – 00:00:41:13
They try a traditional recruiter

00:00:41:13 – 00:00:45:01
who charges them 10 to 20% of the first year salary as a placement fee.

00:00:45:12 – 00:00:48:15
That person is guaranteed for placement for the first three months.

00:00:49:19 – 00:00:52:05
They decide they’re not suitable within the three months.

00:00:52:05 – 00:00:54:15
So they get another replacement from the recruiter,

00:00:54:20 – 00:00:58:07
same recruiter who selects these people.

00:00:58:12 – 00:00:59:29
And the same thing happens again.

00:00:59:29 – 00:01:03:27
And they’re on this constant stream of replacement replacement replacements

00:01:03:28 – 00:01:06:04
within the first three months of employment.

00:01:06:04 – 00:01:09:07
Eventually, they cut their losses and forego the 10 to 20%

00:01:09:07 – 00:01:11:12
placement fee that is paid to the recruiter.

00:01:12:09 – 00:01:14:23
They go back to the internal recruitment process

00:01:14:23 – 00:01:17:22
and the cycle essentially starts over again.

00:01:18:05 – 00:01:21:08
If this is you, maybe you should consider using a recruiter

00:01:21:08 – 00:01:22:25
who’s taking a different approach.

00:01:22:25 – 00:01:25:22
And this is why the On Demand HR model is different.

00:01:25:27 – 00:01:28:18
We wanted to offer another alternative in the market

00:01:29:04 – 00:01:31:13
and typically why a client will come to us for recruitment.

00:01:32:15 – 00:01:34:16
The definition of insanity is trying

00:01:34:16 – 00:01:37:18
the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
