Redundancy – EAP & Outplacement Services

Redundancies are dismissal processes that can have a negative impact on your employees. So how can you support them through this time and into the future as well as avoid expensive potential mental health claims that on average last 20 weeks? The answer may be EAP and outplacement services.

We spoke about a deed of release. We also spoke about EAP and outplacement services. So, again, I like the idea of offering counseling, because sometimes what we see at the very last minute is that people will try a worker’s comp claim on and for those who have listened to my other webinars, the New South Wales workers compensation system at the moment, it’s an absolute joke. And I’m sorry if you know, the organization’s and government and, you know, the claims managers are listening to this, but, you know, the system is what it is, you’ve got a situation where anyone can make a frivolous allegation of mental health, and that most of the time those claims will be provisionally and ongoingly accepted. And we see that those claims on average have a lifespan of about 20 weeks in terms of weekly payments. So that’s another risk in these processes if they’re not done properly.

So again, talk about you know, employee assistance program and outplacement services, as well, just to be clear, EAP services are for counseling employees, should they feel the need that they want that to deal with the mental effects of redundancy or you know there may have been employed in the same role for 20 years and it may be a big shock to them. outplacement is more about after the final decision, focusing helping that person find another job and focusing on the future and typically outplacement services will be in around about $1,000 per employee, there is some potential for group ones in situations where you have more than one. So, again, that is something that you may want to consider offering as part of the process.

We have put together this what we call limited time restructure package for anyone who’s looking at undertaking a restructure, and that is and that would offer the following services as part of the restructure package that we will provide you with a restructuring and redundancy plan. We provide you with advice on the payments and the related obligations. We give you the initial meeting plan the initial consultation letter, we would give you advice about the alternative jobs and selection criteria if it’s applicable, we give you advice on the further consultation discussions, the final meeting plan, the final meeting and the discussions and letters around those things. We can organize for you outplacement and EAP. And we can give you a discount for the Fair Work Commission proceedings should you need us to represent you should any matters go before the commission for any for any clients with 1-3 redundancies or one three employees in that restructure costs $1500 plus GST It’s a limited time offer that we’re offering only for the purposes of this because we come to the end of job keeper. We don’t normally offer this as a one off service.
